Terms of use

Effective

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading or using Recipe Keeper: Save & Cook ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The app is made by Winton Gee ("we" or "us"). It is a recipe keeper: it saves recipes from a pasted link, the Safari share sheet or typed text, finds them by ingredient, tag or title, scales quantities, keeps the screen awake in cook mode, prints a clean card and exports your collection.

2. Recipes from websites

Importing saves a copy of a recipe for your own use, with its source link. Recipes, photos and text from other websites belong to their authors; the app does not publish them, and sharing or printing them for others is your responsibility. An import reads what the website publishes, so a recipe can come in incomplete or different from the page; check the preview before you save.

Scaled quantities are rounded, and the app does not check recipes for allergens, food safety or cooking times. Follow the original recipe and your own judgement.

3. Eligibility and requirements

  • If you are under 13, use the app with a parent or guardian.
  • The app runs on iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

4. Free use and Pro

Saving, link import, search, tags, scaling, cook mode, print and export are free, with no limits, and nothing you save is ever locked behind a purchase. Pro adds a weekly meal planner, a shopping list built from the plan and grouped by aisle, and themes. It is available as:

  • Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription, $4.99 a month in the US (prices vary by region)
  • Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase, $14.99 in the US (prices vary by region)

Subscription terms

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel the subscription in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

5. Apple's standard license

The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (opens in a new tab), together with these terms. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement applies to the license. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

6. Your data

Your recipes, photos, plans and lists are stored only on your iPhone and in its backup, and do not sync to other devices. Export all recipes in the app's Settings to keep your own copy. If the app or the device is deleted or lost without a backup or an export, they may be lost with it. See the privacy policy for details.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every website will import, or that defects will be corrected.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINTON GEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM A FAILED IMPORT, A COOKING MISHAP, OR LOSS OF DATA. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Intellectual property

The app, including its design and content, is owned by Winton Gee and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer it, except as the law allows.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
